New partners point to shared commitment to ethical, professional standards. Ralph Duckworth and Tom Butler have merged their independent accounting, tax and investment-advisory practices to form ATI Financial Services.

"It was a fairly easy decision to join forces," says Duckworth. "We had complementary, growing practices, a shared commitment to ethical and professional standards, even the same devotion to personal attention."

In addition to services mentioned, Pittsburgh-based ATI will also provide financial planning and risk-management services.

ATI is associated with Pittsburgh-based broker-dealer Allegheny Investments.

Before he went into business for himself, Butler was a private-client advisor at mellon.com Mellon Financial. Duckworth, who has operated his practice since 2000, taught accounting and finance at Carnegie Mellon University. -FWR
